A compilation of my design work at Perkins Eastman Architects
In my position at Perkins Eastman Architects, I worked on a variety of internal and external projects to support the firm. (Projects are listed in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent.)
Toward the end of 2023, I volunteered with the office Art Show committee to prepare for and set up the annual Art Show in the office. Employees from all departments were invited to submit artwork of any medium. My role on the committee was to create the branding, including a logo, newsletter, and posters to internally advertise the art show.
The tagline of Perkins Eastman is "Human By Design". When I learned that the unifying element of this art show is that everything was designed by the employees at Perkins Eastman, my idea was to brand the art show "Design By Human" as a tribute to the original tagline of the company. I created the display font to represent the various mediums that can be submitted to the art show.
In November 2023, 2 teams of 2 architects in the firm from different offices opted to attend the BDNY trade fair in NYC. Below are the Instagram graphics that were posted to the Perkins Eastman Chicago and Pittsburgh accounts.
In 2023, towards the end of the summer, the interns had the opportunity to present their work and research they completed during their time with Perkins Eastman. I designed an internal poster to let everyone know about the details of the event.
As part of my job, I work with many different teams across Perkins Eastman. One of the teams I work with is the Design Strategies team. They needed to send out an email promoting a survey about elements that makes the office environment feel more like home. For this email blast, I designed the header and formatted all email content in Microsoft Outlook.
In May 2023, a few of the Architects were speaking at the LabDesign Conference in San Diego. I was tasked with creating promotional materials advertising who was going, the title of the presentation by the Architects, as well as the date and where the event was taking place.
Around Earth Week, Perkins Eastman temporarily got rid of personal desk trashcans and only used the central trashcans located in the common areas. Each different colored bin was labeled with either "Landfill", "Recycle", or "Compost". This initiative was conducted to not only increase awareness about how to dispose of different types of trash in a more sustainable way, but also so that the firm could weigh and keep track of how sustainable the office was at that point in time. Below are the posters I created that were posted around the office as a reminder of what type of trash should be thrown away in which type of trash bin.
