Through my position as the Web Director for 92 WICB/ 91.7 FM, I redesigned the station's branding.

I decided to start with the News department as their logos were the most out of date. Before the rebrand, the podcast, "Ithaca Now" didn't have its own logo.

This is the logo I created for the News department. The challenge with this logo was to keep the voice of the News department the same while modernizing the graphics. The background of the logo was created as a visual representation of the static that you hear in older radio shows. This background plays off the history that the News department on the radio station creates every day.

When this rebrand started, the school was closed for the semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic and there was no in-person dj-ing. Due to this, there were many new podcasts created. "Your Wednesday Matinee" is a podcast that discusses different Broadway shows.

The next department to be rebranded was the Weekend Rhythms department, which was formerly known as the City Rhythms department. Weekend Rhythms is a show that plays Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap music. This show takes place every Thursday to Monday.

Along with the rebrand of the Weekend Rhythms department, a new mixtape was started. This mixtape features artists local to the Ithaca area and revives some older songs.

A-Side/ B-Side is another podcast created during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this podcast the hosts discuss one album that is extremely popular and another album that is in the same genre, but may not be as popular. With this graphic, i created it in a surrealistic style to emphasize the differences between the more conventional side and the unconventional side of music.

The next department to be rebranded was the Sports department. The challenge with this logo was to find a symbol that could represent every sport, as the Sports department covers all sports. One thing that all sports have in common is motion. Therefore, I used motion lines, like those found in comic books, to make it look like the word "Bombers" is in motion.

"The Deconstruct Podcast" is another podcast developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This podcast is about deconstructing different songs and remaking them.
